Can I bring my kids?
CEREMONY:
Children who are related to us are welcome at the ceremony. We have limited seating so please be sure to confirm whether or not you are bringing your child.
RECEPTION: We are not inviting children to our reception, sorry! We love your littles, but due to the nature of the event, as well as space and venue restrictions, our reception is adults only. Think cocktails, charcuterie, and real candles with actual open flames. We hope you'll use this evening as a date night.
Please reach out if you are having trouble securing child care, as we are happy to make recommendations!
Can I bring a +1?
We're working with a very limited guest count, and working to carefully curate the *~*~vibe~*~* of our special day. With this in mind, we will not be offering plus ones. Everyone invited will be named on your invite!
Will there be food? What about drinks?
Charcuterie and dinner at Sabor are on us. Guests may choose to purchase their own drinks from Sabor's extensive bar.
Will there be dancing?
Nope! We are firmly sticks in the mud and we like it here, thank you very much! We've chosen to host our reception at our favourite local restaurant, Sabor. Think family style dining, great food, and all of the best people in the world.
Is there transportation from Daisy Chain Book Co. to Sabor?
We'll be providing transportation from Daisy Chain to Sabor! We know parking downtown can be a headache, so we encourage you take advantage of the ✨✨free parking✨✨ at Daisy Chain.
Guests will be responsible for getting themselves back to Daisy Chain after the event. Please drink responsibly, and plan to leave your car at home if you're consuming alcohol.
Where can I park if I choose to drive myself to Sabor?
There is a paid parking lot directly across from Sabor! As long as there isn't a hockey game, parking there is easy and low-cost.
Destin, what the HECK are your pronouns?
Wouldn't you like to know? 😎
Just kidding! I use he/they pronouns. I just felt some of the older folks on the guest list cringe, so let me explain what that means.
A correct way to refer to me would be: "That's Destin, HE'S so lucky to be marrying Amy."
Another correct way to refer to me would be: "That's Destin, THEY'RE so lucky to be marrying Amy!"
Where Can I Stay if I'm Travelling to Attend?
Please reach out to Amy or Des if you need a place to stay. We are happy to make recommendations!
